My 18-3 revolver bought at Woodwards 46 years ago

All the Woodwards I remember from the 60's and 70's had good firearms sections. The Bay wasn't bad either. - dan

That must be a long time ago since I'm in my 40s and I can't recall ever seeing firearms at The Bay. However, it does show how times have changed, and not for the best.

I'm in my 60's. So yes, a long time ago. I recall Woodwards having handguns in the glass cases. Times change, seldom for the better in regards to firearms. - dan

If you look closely at the second photo you'll see the Chargex receipt. It states the M18 and one box of 22 ammo. Gun and Ammo was handed to me, when the transfer came through, and I left the store with both in a brown bag. No case, no trigger lock and no one complaining. It was just routine.

The M18 is a great little gun to shoot with the 4 inch barrel. Liked it so much I bought an early M18-2 and a 1950 pre-Model. Never considered selling any of them. Recently sold a pre-M17 but still have two pre-Model 17's with one being a 4 digit Lerk.

Hopefully better days ahead,
