My 18" 870 top folder (photo intense)

Not bad,I never did like the top folder,it's not well suited for actually firing the shottie. That light mount look like it will let the light go on the first shot, let us know how it works after a few shots.

I had that exact problem with an ATI light mount that I ordered from Marstar back when I didn't know that ATI stuff was cheap plastic crap. It just wouldn't grip either the flashlight or the gun. One or the other would come loose after a few shots.

However, I solved it by applying hockey tape to all meeting surfaces; the flashlight, the flashlight adapter, the mag tube, and the inside of the mount. Took it out last weekend and put a couple of boxes of target shells through it, and it held.

So the mount has gone from "writeoff" status to "temporary expedient until I can afford a Surefire forestock" status :).

The light has been on that gun for some time and shot with some pretty heavy loads. Doesn't move. The clamp you see is aluminum. It holds up quite well.

Regards.
