Frank at CerakoteBC did another fantastic job with one of my guns - thank you. I had a Citadel 1911 coloured to kind of match my AR he sprayed last year and it turned out awesome; I highly recommend Frank if you want any Cerakote work done, he has done several for me now and all have exceptional workmanship.

Colours are: Sniper Green, Crimson Red, and Graphite Black. I will get a 'family pic' with my AR on the weekend.

Update -

Managed to get a few pics of my AR and 1911 combo; now that I see them together I am quite happy with the decision to have these customized exactly the way that I envisioned.

Update -

I went to see a machinist friend of mine today and he made quick work of milling out a few of my mags. Now I have the look I was hoping for when I started the project.

Looks awesome! I love the red/black accents and especially the 1911 grip 'windows' -- thumbs up!

Yeah, I had wanted aluminum window grips for this project and searched high and low for them. I emailed Alumagrips.com and discovered that Alumagrips.com makes the metal grips for WickedGrips; the owner, Chris Lynch, happened to have one pair laying around the shop that he sold me for $50. The caveat - they were originally pink! I made him promise to not tell anyone that I bought pink grips and he replied that they call them Violet if it made me feel any better. lol. I knew I was going to Cerakote them anyways, so I bought them and they are top quality grips.
