Overall length: 9 in I kinda wish I had gotten the 12 in one now.. But I was supposed to get a 10.5 barrel... but OST only had 11.5 in stock and it was to late to change my order for the forearm...

this is a very exciting post... I'm looking forward to the end product complete with pictures and range report.

Also could you take the time at the end to list the changes you'd make if you did it again or could do it again? It would help out other thinking of doing this.

I said I wouldn't build one of these but I started shaking once I saw the spikes lower and other parts started rolling in.

BTW, I think it's awesome all the help and tips others are offering, CGN can really be a great place at times.

GOOD LUCK OP with the build!

One question, do people has to take some courses or something to be able to build an AR15? I am curious since there are so many people are doing it.

Is this something you can learn yourself? If so, how and from where?

Youtube is great for info...

If you can change the spark plugs on you late model side mounted V6 you can put an Ar together...

We'll probably be hosting a Sat. clinic soon for those who want to build their own AR's.

It's not that hard to do, but it's always nice to get some tips and pointers before going ahead.

We have the tools for use if some one wants to put their's together.

I need a " Were the fvck did my selector detent pin go " Clinic...

I seem to loose those things all the time ...

Now I can put in my rear takedown pin... FML... and yes I know its my fault... lol...
