My 1st ever AR build (Completed April 20th )

I was hoping the camera would capture how phucking loud this Ar is with the YHM phantom 5M1 comp but it didnt...

Shot 100 rounds today not 1 malfunction .... This thing is awsomme.... Now I dont know if these are groupings are any good ... let me know....

I can vouch for the loudness factor. Happened to be at the range for the first few rounds. Dang. Ears still ringing and I was inside. Beautiful build!!

I was so excited after my initial zero, that I forgot to put the ear defenders back on... I can tell you I only did that once... holy phuck that hurt... Puts my .308 to shame...

Try ATRS Eliminator FH...you'll thank them afterwards ;)
 
Just got a second one (1st is on the wifes rifle). I was so impressed I took the Spikes STAB (warthog) off of mine and put this badboy on (non-tapered). Now if only they made one for an AR10 or M14...
 
Brordo the only problem I have now is witch one to get... tapered or non Tapered...

Do you have a pic of the non tapered installed. ?

And does it cut the noise down any ?
 
i have atrs muzzlebrake on a 11.5" barrel and it is stupid loud also i am switching to the eliminator next week hopfully. also those are pretty good looking groups considering your only using backup sights put a optic on there and you will really smile.
 
Yeah I was worried about posting them since on CGN alot of people are sub MOA gurus...

But I cant wait to get my SPX2
 
I'm currently working through my AR build right now and I've got a few questions..

After it was all "done" (put together) what measurements, checks, functions did you put it through before you sent the first round down the range? I don't want to put my gun together and have it explode in my hands..

Also.. how did you manage to line up the gas port on the barrel to the gas block? Just with the gas tube? Seems like such a small hole and even being 1 or 2 degrees off center would make it restrictive / not even work.

I did the standard function test... and pulled the trigger with my eyes closed.... lol...

I used a metal rod for the gas hole... and I eyeballed the gas block....
