I bought my first firearm today. I could not be more excited. I got a used low rounds German made Sig P226 9mm . It's upgraded with an SRT trigger kit, night sights and some E2 grips with 3 magazines. Now all I need is my RPAL so I can take it home! Thankfully I bought it locally at my shooting club and I don't have to wait to shoot it. I already have a few boxes of ammo through it and its a great gun!

I didn't know you could buy a gun without an RPAL. Lol.

My buddy has a sig 226. Nice pick up. I love DA/SA's. Enjoy. As the others have said, now you'll be expecting the same quality in other firearms. They are like cars, they come in all shapes, sizes, quality and price tags.

I wasn't too sure I could either. But I talked to 2 stores and they both said I could buy a firearm and have it transferred to me when my RPAL actually arrives in a month or two. So it kind of like using "their" gun at the range while being supervised by a range officer. It's kind of funny being baby sat to shoot my own gun!

You can't go wrong with that expecially having the SRT and night sights this or one in stainless would be on my list for sure.. Congrats

Yeah, but that's the 'A' in RPAL.. the acquisition part. I wouldn't think you could purchase a firearm without an RPAL..

I buy/sell more firearms than I post on this board and I 100% agree with the statement above. Restricted firearm is only yours when transfer is approved by CFO. It takes just one call for the seller to reverse the transfer at any time before it is finalized...

Well if the transfer does happen to get reversed that's fine as long as I get my money back haha! The person I bought it from works where I shoot it so I should have no issues I'm thinking.

So far I have enjoyed shooting it though. The SRT trigger makes a huge difference compared to the stock trigger I used to test fire on a different 226 before I purchased this one. Definitely a worth while add on.

Excellent choice. SIG/Sauer are one of the finest firearms manufacturers around. All of their pistols are precision manufactured with close tolerances. Enjoy.....
