Hi,

I'm new on this forum. I'm Alex.
Looking for my 1st shotgun. Would like to by a Stoeger Model 2000 Sami A. or a Condor Competition.
Thaks to everybody.

Alex.

Hey Alex. Yeah, it can be pretty spooky posting for the first time on any board, not knowing what to expect, what with a number of boards full of negative flamers who have nothing better to do then rain on your parade. Here, we have a great bunch of guys(and gals I'd imagine), nice little community...so no worries man! Welcome aboard!

Now, re; the shotguns. Keep your eyes on the exchange forum, we have a ton of stuff go through there. I am sure something will pop up!

What are you needing it for , HUNTING OR TRAP/SKEET/CLAYS? If it is not for hunting ,ask around at your shooting club if anyone has what you are looking for or knows of anything for sale. It is surprising what comes around when you put out the word. GOOD LUCK.

Your best defense in forums comes as follows:

There really isn't a stupid question, even if some idiot tells you it is a dumb question.

Ask your questions in the correct forum after you have done a quick SEARCH so that someone doesn't bomb you with "We just discussed this to death" comments.

Be as clear and concise in your inquirey, use pictures or drawings, or just say your not quite sure, it helps.

There are a ton of LE, Corrections, Active Military, Former Military, Reservists, former LE, sportsmen, hunters, competition shooters etc etc etc so there is a wealth of knowledge here,

Finally, have thick skin, because, no matter how careful you are, be prepared for a troll or flamer, don't take it personally and usually if a regular sees you getting hammered, they will back you up...

Also, enjoy your time here, ask ask ask ask and share share share...great forum..and my first stop of every internet trip....

To answer your question. I would go with the Stoeger 2000. It is a Benelli Montefeltro copy and a good one at that.

All the reps who I spoke with when this shotgun was on my shortlist (for a first shotgun) told me they never had any returns. All of them recommended it strongly.

Mind you, I stopped my choice on a Benelli Nova (pump action), however, I still consider the Stoeger 2000 at the top of my list if I do decide to get myself a semi.

You can also check the current comments about this shotgun on the Shotgunworld website:

Good reading and good luck with your purchase.

Let us know what you decide to buy and how well it shoots

Just kidding. Welcome to the forum!

It's good that you handled the firearm you are wanting to buy... if it feels good in your hands and is a "natural pointer" for you, you've done the hardest part... now you just have to buy it! Usually when someone is looking at buying a gun that is a total piece of crap, a simple post will let them know.

Now... maybe you should ask about bear defense? :p
