I just got my PAL today and purchased my 1st gun:dancingbanana: . It's an 870 Wingmaster:runaway: . The weather was aweful here so I didn't get to try it out. Any recommended cleaning products or whatever for it?

I don't have a place to host pics so I have one as my avatar.
 
Congrats! I have heard things about the 3.5" super mags not being so reliable, but as an express owner I am definately envious of your wingmaster!

Good choice, modified choke , and steel #2 and BB are excellent for Geese., 6's & 4's make a good duck loads. After many rounds, push the trigger group pins out , and clean the fouling from there, and lube the springs, pins in there (teflon). Other than that a bit of lube on the action bars, and your good to go. Keep the barrel and action coated with a very light coat of oil. This will help stop rust from forming, during heavy rain , and while in storage.
Remove the choke tube , and clean the treads inside the barrel, and on the choke tube. After a while you will know where the gun gets dirty and where to keep it lubed. A good inspection of all areas , including the magazine is recomended. Hope this helps some.:)
 
I have a 3.5" Express and the only problem I have had was with some Fast Steel rounds...everytime the second one wouldn't feed right...switched back to my Winchester 3 1/2" rounds and never a problem...love the gun
 
Hey, good choice in a shotgun. If it's new it will be a little stiff to pump, but like was said, get out and shoot it. Mine has close to 7000 rounds through it and the action is as slick as goose p**p. I wish I had of spent the extra dough and got a wingmaster, but on the other hand, when the express is in the bottom of the canoe, with a couple of inch's of water on top of it, I don't have a cow. I have had to use it as a padddle once or twice, work's not bad but the J - stroke is asking a little to much.

Some good quality gun oil, and a bore snake does wonders.

It's a 12 guage. I got it used but in excellent condition. Are there any links to sites with a step by step how to clean instructions with pictures?

I had it out for the 1st time tonight. 75 shots through it. Not one problem. I was shooting some clays with my buddy and a hand thrower. The hand thrower is garbage and going to try to take it back tommorow, lol. Any suggestions for good throwers under $100?
