This morning I rolled a PB, Fallow Buck with the Kimber.

189m lights out.

Hard work and alot of walking with the Eyes over the Same patch has paid off!

Exactly what i thought when he stepped out of the Timber! He had a Elk like frame front on an then Splayed out palms like a bull moose...

That is a fallow deer. That is the configuration of their antlers. Whelan Lad is in Australia, so he gets to shoot species we on the opposite side of the globe aren't used to seeing.

Interestingly, i believe you can hunt these in BC. I believe one or two gulf islands have populations of them...

Also, i think there is a fallow deer petting zoo at marine land in Niagara Falls. Lol

Good luck with that. Too many Greenies on the Gulf Islands, and most of Southern Ontario has rifle cartridge restrictions. You'd be better off calling one in and tackling it barehanded, holding the knife in your teeth .......

A quick google on my phone found very little info on it. There is no bag limit and season doesn't close, but it might be all private property where they can be hunted.
