Hard to mistake that original Cooey stock shape. Nice job. There is always pleasure shooting something you have fixed up. I usually rub the stock down briskly with 0000 steel wool and the finish I used or just some Danish oil. They all mix just fine. I like that baby bum smooth feel it leaves. Then after it has dried for a week I use some paste wax to bring the shine up just a little and protect everything under it. When hand rubbing I roll out the steel wool and cut a pad the size of my palm and rub till I feel heat and then move on. After that rub with a soft flocked cloth. Its the rubbing that actually gives the polish of a hand rubbed finish. Its a lot of work but the payoff is great. Nice resurrection.
