I got this rifle off the EE last winter. I felt that it should be relatively easy to qualify with it on this challenge. But no luck over a month of weekends trying. It was bedded by a previous owner, and the job looks good. Reflecting on a thread elsewhere on this forum describing similar shooting results , it occurred to me that the action screw torque might be part of the problem. I checked the forward action screw and it appeared to be too long. I shortened it this morning and now it can be torqued more than the almost 20 inch pounds it previously allowed, which was not enough.
The rifle is a Krico, but I'm uncertain as to exactly which model. It has the stock of a Krico 330S, but its barrel is 23.5" long rather than the 330S's 25.5". The 330S also has a 2" extension-like piece on the end of the barrel for mounting a globe sight, this one does not.
The scope is a Sightron SII 36X, while the ammo was SK Rifle Match.
