My 22 shoots 1/2" groups at 50 yards/meters all day! Really? Prove it!

I could have taken a scissor and cut out the "sighter" target, but that would have made it look like I was hiding something. The way it is, it is open for anyone to see.

I always throw an extra target up for sighters when attempting this challenge. By the way very nice shooting and love the 40x. I just hope I get the chance to own one in my lifetime.

I too always have another target up for cold bore flyers and sighters. That is some mighty impressive shooting there eagle eye. That's a lot of groups in the teens. That mossberg is down right impressive, is it a heavy barrel version?

Them 40x's can sure shoot. I shot a .155" group with center x on a sighter target last weekend during a match but didnt have time to shoot 4 more groups. I used my full time allotted on my score target.

The 144LSB is the heaviest barrelled rimfire O.F. Mossberg ever produced. These older Mossbergs all had superb bores, and even the lighter barrelled versions shoot well. D.

This 40X is scary accurate, particularly with certain ammo types/batches. I also have a SUHL 150 BR, prepped by Jim Williams. If that is possible, it is ever so slightly more accurate than is my 40X. I did not shoot it yesterday, since I am swapping optics on it right now. I shot a 5-shot .079" group with it early in this Thread. D.

Nice shooting, Dave. I know how you feel. I did the exact same thing a while back w my 40-X. Did not count for me either; those are the rules. I'll have to try again some time.

Very nice shooting Eagleye. I had a target I shot last month for lot testing some ammo that I didn't post here because of the rules. It had more than one set of 5 5shot groups but the good thing was I found an ammo my rifle liked, two of the 5 5shot groups averaged .155" ( it will shoot the 1/4" at 50 yds:)) just have to get out and try again. BTW my best group was .076"

I am appealing this :) Tell me why a "sighter" target would not be allowed? No one in any real competition will not use a sighter. I had to adjust a couple of those scopes, and used the sighter to do so.
Theses are obviously not groups, but individual shots an an entirely different target, plainly marked as a sighter They should in no way detract from the 5 clean groups. Dave.

This is Underthegun's contest and he has set the rules out very clearly. I fully support his conclusion.

If it was only the Bullet hole to show the hole size I would probably let it slide, as I think I have done so in the past. But the other sighter shots are a definite deal breaker.

See post #1188 above, LOL. I am not worried about the "No count" targets. Rules are rules...all have to live by them. D.

im already on the successful list with my CZ 452 Varmint but today i decided to try different ammo so i dont know if that counts or not.

I am very familiar with results like these, often on the last group and usually caused by human error -- although some may cling to the notion that it's one of or a combination of equipment or barrel failure, ammo failure, sudden gust of wind or something along these lines. Human error is possible for everyone.
