My 22 shoots 1/2" groups at 50 yards/meters all day! Really? Prove it!

Prophet River, Lloydminster, AB. Ordered it about a month ago, it was delivered in the time estimated, at the price quoted. Back from Toronto today (my luggage should arrive by courier later this evening:) ) and picked it up at the PO.

getting closer, largest group down to .62... forgot to put more ammo in the bag so ran out after 2 tries. Maybe I'll get this done before summers over.

I should be able to do this. Being testing various ammunition to find what my gun likes, so far Eley Club is the best with an average a hair under .5" Just need to string 5 of 'em in a row. I'll hit the range tomorrow if the weather holds up.

New Annie 1710 out for ammo testing and never made the CHALLENGE until I got all the way (up in price) to Fed Gold Medal Ultra Match. Shot at 50M. Smallest group is 0.28" c-to-c Average is 0.37"

Weather cooperated for a day at the range today
Rem 40X - Redfield apertures at 50metres - Eley Match EPS @ 1076 fps rated

Target and small group. The #3 group was shot with the front aperture nested in the middle of the 4 outer bulls.
#1 .500 - .221 = .279
#2 .683 - .221 = .462
#3 .641 - .221 = .420
#4 .492 - .221 = .271
#5 .696 - .221 = .475
Average .3814

This is a great thread! Very inspiring! I'm still relatively new to this but will have a go at this next time I'm out. My best grouping today was 0.21" @ 50 yards. With some practice and still winds I think I could average 0.5". It may take a while but it's definitely something worth pursuing.

Got up way too early to beat the wind but I got it done. Rifle is a CZ 455 with a Lilja barrel and Mueller 8x32 scope and in a Klinsky stock. SK Rifle Match ammunition.

Group 1 0.452
Group 2 0.487
Group 3 0.427
Group 4 0.360
Group 5 0.151
Average 0.375

My first time posting pictures so they're far from perfect but I've spent enough time on this already.

Tony.

Another attempt at this today with thesame Rem 40X w/Redfield apertures and Eley Match EPS.

Very helpful thread. Interesting to see what rifles are making the grade. Not 1 10-22 yet, nor as many CZ as I would have thought. It is hard to get good ammo out here. I'll have to go to Edm. I have a couple that might work. a Bruno #4, a BSA Martini olympic, and a Rem 541 (s &t). The biggest problem will be the shooter. It is not as easy as many say.

Prophet River in Lloydminster has SK Standard Plus, SK Rifle Match, Lapua Centre-X and X-act in stock.

Myself I would like to see how these combinations work out at 200, because everything needed is on hand already.

Cheers!

... Not 1 10-22 yet, ...

Does an SR-22 count?

I shot this target last night. Just squeaked in with some vertical stringing from both rifles. I'm assuming its velocity variation from the lot of Center-X I have but haven't chrono'd any yet. This is my first outing with this case of ammo and while I shot a couple warmup / fouling groups, this was my only attempt.
