I recently had a Big Bore Lever Action built based on a Browning Mod 71.
It carries a 22" barrel by Bevan King, full length magazine tube, Lyman peep sight, one mercury recoil reducer in the butt stock, and a Pachmayer Decelerator pad. It is chambered for the
50-110WCF cartridge.
This cartridge was introduced in 1887 in the Winchester Mod. 1886 and produced untill 1922. Starline now makes good brass and my dies are from CH. My initial load is a healthy dose of H4895 behind a 510GR. WFNGC lead bullet at 1800fps. Recoil is quite managable. Good for anything this side of Mars.
Dave Jennings in Pritchard, BC, did an excellent job with the conversion and I had bought my own chambering reamer.

BigUgly - Thanks for putting the picture up, had some challanges here with learning this new computer programm.
The 50-110 has been made to cycle in a Marlin but they say it is difficult....
The gun shoots very well - shot one 1/2" group (fluke?) at 50m.
I will stay with the load of 1800fps with the 510gr. bullet for now, although I know that there are people shooting the same weight bullet at 2200fps.
I haven't tried it on game yet.

Nice choice in cartridge, and Dave was always an excellent gunsmith in my dealings with him.

An original 1886 50 Express??!

That's cool. Much left of your shoulder??

I'd give my left leg to have one. If anyone knows of anyone willing to part with one, let a fella know. I'd love to get one of those in the woods in the fall! If I could carry the darn thing....not no featherweight!! Deer would fear it!!
