That's great. I can't wait to get my kids shooting. My oldest tried a single shot .22 this summer with me helping hold it. She is two, and already knows to open the bolt to make sure it's not loaded when she picks it up. She can load it on her own too.

well i am not going to lie, im jealous for 2 reason:
1. i only have a 100 yard range to shoot at so i can't shoot that distance
2. A 6 year old is a better shot then me haha
Looks like i need to hit the range more haha, And BTW very nice shooting, good to see younger people getting into shooting

Awesome thread! And EXCELLENT shooting for your little girl! I have a 10 yr old son who is a laser beam with my .223 Weatherby Vanguard! .223 is a perfect centerfire for the little folk! I bought a Mini 14, and he enjoyed that for a little while (A buddy talked me into selling it to him), so I replaced that with an SL8, He REALLY like that! I put little pop bottles with red food colored water in them out on a hill, and my kid smokes 10/10 at 200+ yards..... i tell him "Excellent shooting buddy!", he says, "all I did was put the crosshairs on them"...... They make it sound so easy! ;-)
