My Absolutely Favourite 45ACP - The HK USP45 Tactical

Shots were made at 15yds. When I ran out of target paper I tore small pieces of the ammo box and shot three rounds per target, no misses. While I'm happy with my shooting at this distance, I was only able to achieve this level of accuracy with my USP45T and not any other of my pistols, 9mm or 45ACP. It could be the trigger, it could be the recoil assembly, it could be the ergonomics, or it's just because it's the USP.

That blaster is a Big Bad Mother Fvcker.
Nice shooting.

Shamelessly borrowed from Mildot's sig line:

Very nice. How secure is the optic mount? I'm considering it as i was told milling the USP for an optic is a sensitive job.

It is very secure and took a bit of effort to install. It did not require and loctite but some people would put in a drop or two for extra safety. The only thing is when the mount is removed there may be some minor wear marks on the slide where the mount was in contact.

I actually took mine off and went back to iron sights, cuz I've got the FNX45T which is an updated optic ready USP45T wannabe. If you'd like to try the optic mount give me a shout.

yeah, but if you go through it frame by frame, the pistol isn't even fully holstered for them to accomplish that bit of cinematography.

The trigger and trigger guard are fully out of the holster before he even starts the draw stroke.

Very Nice! I have a similar set-up on my own favourite .45 - an STI Tactical Single-Stack 5" Barrelled, factory custom M1911A1. STI ceased single-stack M1911A1 production several years ago in favour of exclusively producing 2011-pattern, double-stack competition pistols. More's the pity, as they produced superb and widely renowned M1911A1s back in the day. Mine is a bushingless Bull Barrel that is an absolute tack-driver with superb demonstrated reliability.

Wow this is beautiful! I wish STI made more 1911s too, especially in 45ACP. I'm not against 2011 but I think 1911 is more irreplaceable than 2011s in the market.

It's interesting how certain pistols and their ergonomics just "work" for you, compared to others.

My best pistol shooter for my is also a .45acp, my Dan Wesson Valor 1911. Just love the single stack grip and trigger of a 1911. I shoot it better than my VP9 or Sig P226 EE.

It sounds a little unfair to compare the Valor with VP9 given its price tag lol. I'm with you 100% and DW is superior to most production 1911s on the market. They may seem expensive but you get a lot of quality and utilities for the money. I'm sad that I let go of my V-Bob, but happy that I kept my Specialist (LASD-DSP).

My best shooter is a Sig P220 in 45ACP. Great gun.

There are quite a few European countries using the USP as their primary service pistol. It's a very bulky pistol, even in 9mm, compared to what other countries are using.

Definitely not fair to the VP9 :p

I just don't really get along well with the VP9 - perhaps striker fired pistols aren't my thing.

DW makes, IMO, the best value 1911 in the mid/upper tier 1911 production category. I'm never parting with my Valor.

I'm outta my league here, but I'll agree that my best shooting .45 acp is a 1911 (Ruger SR 1911). HK makes a great gun, but my gawd is it huge?
