my opening day found me inside of Crafty's brand spanky new chevy. hunting the lands he grew up east of the city. quite a few deer seen, and passed up on a gimme doe. but managed to help out some farmers by dumping 2 coyotes.

only managed to take pics of the first coyote. So now i can FINALLY say ive killed something with a remington model 710, which i bought off crafty as a "back up/friend needs a gun" which i found was highly accurate after putting a cheap scope on top. didnt figure it needed a high end scope as it was so ugly. I know a bunch of people who hate them and say they wont hit the broadside of a barn yet alone a deer, so im gonna use it for 1 deer this year and rub the guns ugliness in thier faces, LOL

heres the yote. they looked pretty healthy. and a .270 win at 100 yards with a quartering towards me shot proves lethal:jerkit:

what an UGLY rifle!!!!!!!

taking my time this year, and not to worries about bringing down too much, as i still have alot of meat in the freezer from last year.

Actually you should have put the bag over the head of the coyote to spare it the shame of being killed by a 710.

AS a back up gun, man the least you could have done was pick up the Stevens or savage package gun. Your a freak for using that.

Nice kill:D

LOL guys!!!

in my defense, the gun was done on trade, he needed some flies for flyfishing, so i traded him a handful of homegrowns. i think i may have been ripped off. LOL at the comments. Believe me, i didnt pay actual money for this 710. I would slit my wrists first.:p But, she is a good shooter, and keeps liberals happy

This thread reminds me of a joke a harley rider told me a long time ago.

What's the difference between riding a Japanese bike and ### ###...nothing it still feels good as long as nobody sees you.

Kind of like hunting and shooting with a 710, it's OK as long as nobody you know is around.

Don't worry about it, I have heard of guys shooting game with sporterized Enfields. The best rifle is the one you have in your hands when you get a chance to use it. I think Tikka's are ugly, and I LOVE my Remington 760.
