Very nice. I especially like the Krag and the Johnson. Gotta say though, if that were my safe they'd be coming out more than once a year! :)

Well, 4b1t, I'll join in on this one, though for me, it is more, they come out once a year for display, and the ones that work go to the range for fun time when i can get out.

Very nice. So far, I've managed to avoid/haven't had the luck to begin the pursuit of American military arms. Canadian and, lately, French arms seem to be the ones coming in the door. Having seen these fine examples, though, I have an increased hankering for a 1903 Springfield, d--- you.

Well you might as well have mine, I can't see the d--- sights on the 03 or Krag any more !!!!

Beautiful collection Sir !!!! I used to display at gun shows, but no time for that anymore. I consider all mine as "shooters" but finding range time is a challenge so they don't get out much any more. I infer from your comments that some of yours are deactivated ? The full autos I presume ?

Photography is not my strong point, so maybe it is hard to tell in the pic, but I expected someone to comment on the K98k bayo mounted on the Garand......Skål !!!!!!

I was going to ask about that? The bayonet on the Garand, and the bayonet on the carbine ? Very interesting :)

Cheers
Joe

Glad you asked. :D

Post war the Norwegians were supplied with Garands, M1 and M2 carbines. They converted captured German K98k bayonets to fit the Garands, basically by adding a stud to fit in the gas plug and adding a US style belt hanger to the scabbard etc. Mine is an ASW 42. Likewise they converted M1894 Norwegian Krag bayonets to fit the carbines.

Yes, at just short of 30, I am not Prohib. Quald unfortunately. I did noticed the European Bayonets, and I didn't ask about it because I already knew what I was looking at. I thought about ordering a few 98k bayonet conversions... but I collect only American. But good on you for getting them.

Ok, those Remington Model 10 and Ithaca Model 37 Trench guns are AMAZING!!!!! Please give me a shout if you ever want or have to send them on their way!!!!! I'm serious!!!

VERY nice collections both of you!!!!!

Cheers,

Ian
