Gents, just finished a couple batches of 50 the last 50 done in a leisurly 10 minutes or so of once fired Win. 22-250.
What I am noticing is that on about 1 in 10 the one turns almost a silver colour around the shoulder after the annealoing. I'm wondering if this isn't an indication of perhaps a lessor quality piece of brass. You fellows noticing some occaisional inconsistancies in the finished product? FS
 
What kind of brass are you using? There is a change in color for the Lapua brass I use. I wouldn't say it turns silver. But comparing it to virgin Lapua brass, after I anneal it, it looks almost identical.

Edit: opps, my bad. I see you're using Winchester brass(?).
