Joined the AR club, even though it's a Norinco it's still an AR, and for something to start off with and learn, play, add to, shoot, and just have fun with, I cannot complain

The Beginning

It's been fun putting it together, taking it apart, seeing how things work, and don't work, ripping it down to pieces and then putting it all back, and having it work.

I have spent more on ammo, than the gun, but ammo can go in any of the AR's, if and when I get another, better, etc the ammo will still work

Next up, is a sling, I tried the one it came with, even had a thread on how to install it, gave up on it, I will get a sling as was suggested, even the sling can go onto another AR (hope to see you soon Farmboy)

The finish on the rifle, the fit of the rifle, the parts used and purchased, might not be of the high or highest quality, but it's still an AR, and it's fun to shoot, I was not looking for a tack driver, but a paper puncher, so far it has not let me down.

For those wanting to get into the AR game, you won't break the bank going this route, one can always sell it at a later time, pass it down, or just have it sitting around, build a high end rifle if you wish, but to me this my first AR, is like my first girlfriend, many have been had after the first one, but I will always remember her.

Hope you enjoy the pics, some suck, I was in a bit of a rush, and couldn't take them outside, it's cold, if I get a chance to take better ones I will post, will post a few after a day at the range as well

Cheers

You may as well leave it as is, 5 years and 5K later it will end up that way again ...nothing more useful than a stock M4 with a light rail and a skilled suer ....

From Questar International

MAK-GMG-QR1
MAKO's Global Military Gear 2-piece Quad Rail (CAR length)
Stock 20
Price: $79.99
Retail Price: $99.99

The Mako Rail will fit any AR15 type rifle with 7 inch length hand guards

If you use the air soft one's it might not fit your attachments, I am not sure how the specs are and will things fit on the rail

I know this is a budget rifle but you really should get a real optic. Knock-offs shouldn't go on real firearms. Just my opinion.

I absolutely agree with you, It will get a real optic, soon......

Usually it has the original carry handle, the optic used was for picture purposes only, and that optic is typically on my sons paintball gun......

I will probably put an inexpensive Bushnell on her one day soon....it won't be expensive but it will be real......there are no plans in shooting past 200 yards, so it should work...
