Bottom metal and trigger are stock with only a trigger job done years ago. Trigger may get changed some day, but for now it's fine. Stock is the original stock as well.

All work performed by Rick Timmins of Alberta Tactical Rifle Supply. Finished at 12 lbs, give or take. My postal scale only reads to 2 lbs!

Especially if the early velocity numbers hold up...200 gr NPT loads averaging 3000 to 3100 FPS and one 180 gr load that yielded 3450 FPS! They sounded and felt a bit different and were possibly an "oops" but no pressure signs.

Can't wait to try some 190 or 210 Bergers to see if I can get the tight groups and the reach. Haven't done a lot of range work with it yet, but early tests have been awfully promising!

Ben if you can get your hands on them try the 208gr Hornady's. My rifle spits them out like mini laser beams and they do the job on deer at extended ranges. It's the only bullet I run in my .300 for Long range and hunting.
You can talk to Rick or Troy about how well the bullet performed on last years hunting trip. We will be going again this year and I will be using the same bullet.

Yup the secret recipe for dead deer at about 700 yards is take 1 really good rifle, load it with 208 Amaxs, combined with H4831, sit on a hill for a few hours waiting for the deer to rise, then add a small dose of LRC on the trigger,:sniper: then walk down to see how dead the deer actually is.:dancingbanana:

For a bullet that the makers claim is NOT to be used for hunting, they certainly DO perform well at making deer dead with a single dose.
