god help me, I just bought an XCR-L in .223 and I like it! Ran all over Edmonton for hours trying to get my hands on the only one in the city I could track down, went to P&D and was told they had one at the hunting show about an hour away in Enoch AB, so I went there and the place was being evacuated due to an ammonia leak! So I blew out of there and killed a few hours and called the venue the show was held at and they said it wouldn't be open again that day... sad... so I went back to the store hoping I could leave a deposit and buy the gun at a later date, and found out when I arrived that the hunting show was open again... so back to Enoch I went, with the intent of dropping $2700 on the gun and a box of 500 rounds... then my debit card was declined... ugh... finally, I called my bank and asked them to waive the daily transaction limit so I could buy it, the girl on the phone asked what I was buying and when I told her, she gasped... I figured for sure I was boned, but nope, she was cool! 5 minutes later, I had my new toy...

good times, can't wait to shoot it! And for the record, I have nothing but great things to say about P&D, they were unbelievably cool about everything through the entire ordeal, they even agreed to cover the tax!

Awesome. But we won't believe you until you post pics :)

And ignore the haters. Just make sure you tighten the barrel nut. Mine had some trouble feeding out of lar15 but it wasn't the gun, it was the mag. The rounds kept popping out. Make sure the teeth are around 11.5mm apart, and all should be good. Enjoy

Well I took it out this afternoon, I think I'm in love! I bought a Bushnell trophy red dot for it this morning and tried it both with and without the sight. Took a couple mags to find my point of aim, but hot damn, once I did, it was just an absolute pleasure. The range I was at had a 12" gong set up at 200yds, and i was able to hit it consistently about 2 out of every 3 shots with both the red dot and the irons. Now I'm gonna start saving and buy me an eotech 552 and flip magnifier, kit this thing out like a beast!

Put another 200 rounds through my new baby tonight, brought a couple friends to the range to share the love, they had a blast! Had a couple double feeds when one friend tried to release the bolt by pulling the bolt carrier rather than pressing the bolt release switch, and the shell deflector started to loosen off, but otherwise no troubles. I've spent most of this evening browsing wolverine supplies looking for accessories and I think I've settled on a winning combination... Now I just have to wait for the payment to my visa card to process...

sorry for the multi-posts, but I'm just so in love with this damned thing

that's a Bushnell Trophy 1x32 red dot sight on it, but I'm buying an Eotech EXPS3 and their 3x magnifier along with a handful of other accessories as soon as the payment I made to my credit card is processed

got some new toys for my XCR today...

xcr1.jpg

Eotech EXPS3-0 holosight, G23.FTS flip-to-side 3x magnifier, Fab Defense tactical foregrip bipod and 10rd XCR-L Micro pistol magazines with end to end couplers

Took it out to the local range to sight it in and blow through a few boxes of ammo, took about 30 rounds to really get a feel for the new optics, but I dig them a lot

xcr6.jpg

The bipod closes up to function as a conventional vertical foregrip, it's spring loaded and pops open with a push of a button. I learned entirely by accident that the rifle's shoulder stock also has an adjustable cheek rest pad

I got a thumbprint on my lens...

I love this gun.

And so should you
