Well, it was a female dog to get off but I (we), my wife helped, did it.

I tried a blow dryer and nothing happened. I was getting pissed off because I didn't have a blow tourch so my wife suggested we use our BBQ lighter. Here is what we used to get the comp off. The lighters and an allen wrench stuck between the holes of the comp for leverage.

I didn't have a vice either so my wife sat on the butt of the rifle and held it as steady as possible on the bipod.

And finally, it came off.

And here are the war wounds. My first allen wrench broke and cut my arm.

OUCH MAN, glad you got it off though, thats a nice barrel.

are you just gonna operate no comp, or changing it.

I am going to operate with out a comp. It got too full of crud and was impossible to clean. I ordered a thread protector from VQ today. It is a little metal screw on bit. Makes the end of the barrel look pretty sharp.

thats a ###y ruger,

Im having trouble witht he scope on mine, crosshairs are rotating :(

i have to resight everytime I use it and im just not happy with the accuracy, what kind of scope do you have on yours.

I have a Bushnell 3200 5-15X40. The Gun in the pic is a 10/22 Magnum. If your crosshairs are rotating I think the scope is damaged and must be replaced. You will not have repeatable accuracy if the scope hairs are dancing.:D
