Hey everybody, just wanted to make a thread here and update it with the progress of my modification to the B&C Tactical stock.
***IF ANYBODY WANTS TO BUY A BELL & CARLSON TACTICAL STOCK FOR A GOOD PRICE, contact Jim Nasset @ Rifle-Accuracy. He was recommended to me BY Bell & Carlson, as he ships to Canada. I paid $249.99 total for the stock + 20 bucks for duty fee's.
The stock was LABELED as a rifle stock, with the Bell & Carlson box, and it was even opened at customs and re-sealed. The price was amazing compared to anywhere else you look up here... This price beats anything in Canada and by far beats the ridiculous price of 380 + Tax + shipping that some gun shop sells*** Just incase a certain a**hole opens his mouth up about these stocks...I have the pictures listed right under here.
Here is the paper work that comes with the stock when you get it from Jim Nasset @ rifle-accuracy. I just purchased it on Jim site and he LEGALLY imports to Canada. Otherwise, I wouldn't have got the stock when customs opened it.
AND now...the pictures of the box...which was inspected by border officials when the stock came to me.
Hope this helps and put more confidence in anybody interested in getting a GOOD DEAL from the US...LEGALLY

NOW back to modifying the stock
Since I got the stock, I love it but I didn't like the square foregrip and decided to do something.
Did a bit of research and reading and this has been done by others previously with good results that won't affect accuracy of the stock. Since this has the aluminum block inside, it won't hurt the stock at all if the job is done properly.
I've been working on it for the past month, only getting 1-2 days a week to really work on it and the first phase of the modification to the stock will be done this tuesday.
Enjoy
This is the part I'm going to remove:
This is the type of foregrip it will have once it is completed:
Here is the progress
Sanded down the stock with a belt sander and found some air pockets that I had to fill in with PC-7
Sanded down the PC-7 and tried to get it all nice and flat.
Found a few air pockets that I had to re-fill with PC-7 and let it cure. Then went out, bought a palm sander and had to re-sand it down nice and flat.
So the stock was now ready for the fiberglass mat and resin.
I hate working with fiberglass but I needed to take the extra steps to make this stock more solid.
Fiberglass applied.
So that was that for the fiberglass...well I thought haha
went back today to sand down the fiberglass and attempt to get the perfect finish. Well after sanding it down as much as I could, I had little concave sections that I needed to refill again with the fiberglass resin.
I put on 3 layers today in the time span of about 4 hours and on tuesday when I am done work, I'll go and re-sand the stock down smooth and round the corners and get it ready for the texture.
Here are the most recent pics of the stock sanded down today.
So far from what I've learned is that it takes a lot of time to take a stock as this and not make it worse.
Will post an update on tuesday
