My BF RS arrived yesterday :D

I opened the box, inspected the contents and set the kit aside.
The 16.25" build will commence as soon as I have some free time.

I have not decided on a butt stock...
there are no issues with the gas system.

I will post pictures and details.

The CQB-16 that I'll be using has already proven itself to be
accurate and reliable. I've had it in a SAGE EBR and a Rogue
bullpup. It was too short to be legal in the Rogue... it's great
in the SAGE EBR. Here is what it looks like now.

I will start out with a bare bones iron sight shooter in the BF RS and
decide if I want to make any changes with the configuration later.

18 1/2 inches has never seemed so long......:(
This build is gonna be awesome.

Suddenly, size does matter.

The 16.25" barrel ends up being only about 1/2 inch shorter
than an 18.0" barrel when both are equipped with a DC Vortex.

The main reason I chose to use my QCB-16 is
that I wanted the shortest and lightest BF RS

Definitely looking forward to news and photos of that build!
Glad to hear everything arrived safe.

A quick inspection revealed that everything
survived the long trip without any problems.

I'll keep everybody updated with reports and pictures.

The BF RS chassis arrived with the op rod guide and pistol grip screw installed.

Weight: 2 lbs. 3.2 oz.

ooooo 16" barreled M14s.

Because this will be a dedicated iron sight rifle (optics may be added later, but irons are #1)
I have decided to go with the standard profile 18.0" barreled action as originally planned.
This will allow me to have a longer sight radius than what's available with the CQB-16.

Can't wait to see this one too. Good chance it will influence my blackfeather build when I finally pony up the dough and order one. I even dreamt about receiving one in the mail, except it was a blackfeather bullpup! Wtf
