My Blackfeather RS has arrived

After giving thought to adding a TROY battle rail I decided to just add an Aimpoint M4 instead.

Looking good

I have a question for you.

I am building a CQB style M-14 as well (mine will be 18.6" tho ;-) ). I want to use a comp M4 like you.

I see your using the spacer, is it required, or did it simply offer a more "heads up" cheek weld like an AR??

Serious question

Thanks.

I have not shot it yet, but after shouldering it a few times I
believe I can safely remove both the space and the cheek riser.

I'll let you know.

18.6" will give you a bit more MV than my 16.25" can generate.

So why are you going for the blackfeather stock when you already have a sage stock?
Not judging or anything just curious

One of each, 1 EBR and 1 RS... that's all.

I'm keeping my Dot Matrix SAGE chassis and I've started my final build with it.
Something about those gaps...

Crack Feather

I'm not above laughing at myself, and perhaps I said something dumb and the joke is on me................

but would you be so kind and explain it to me, I simply don't get it??

I would hate to be the only one not laughing!!

Thank you m14.ca

Just one notable. I seem to be having a rough time seating the mags in with this stock. It doesn't seem as streamlined as with a USGI stock. This is simply my individual opinion, but have been rather frustrated trying to get the damn mags in. :D

Anyone else having a tough time or am I just physically impaired? :D

Just you.....lol

I find you have to get the tilt to the front just right. My mag does not touch any part of the stock when it goes in, so i imagine that the stock should have very little or no influence on how the mag goes in.
