So spent the day up at the range today and finally got to try out my mk18 with the lantac dragon installed.

Wow in so many ways lol

It does a fantastic job just as its supposed to do. The barel hardly moves. It's crazy to me since I've never shot anything with a muzzle break like this before.

The bark from this beast is insane. It rattles your teeth shooting it lol I felt for my buddy shooting his. 22 just 2 tables over. Definitely not something to use when the range is busy that's for sure.
Also made the mistake of shooting it off a rest and didn't realize the plywood shoes extended just a touch longer than the muzzle and got a face full of muzzle blast and concussion lol
 
I loosened a few fillings at the last TacRfile match.

Also made the mistake of putting the brake beside a barrel and singed a few knuckle hairs :)

But yes I agree - I've never had a barrel NOT move - on a 12.5" barrel. Double taps are so incredibly easy.

We still have plenty in stock :)
 
Had a similar effect with my NEA Crusader brake at a match on the weekend. Loose fillings, burns on the elbows from ejected cases, and black lungs from huffing the exhaust of AE black box ammo...good times!

 
They work a hell of a lot better than my other "site sponsor" custom brake.

I'll be selling my noise maker for a Lantec soon. Just in time for my new AR to arrive.
 
Sounds like the Rainier Arms mini comp I used to own. It was very effective for a single chamber brake. When it was on my 14.5 inch AR or my non restricted ACR it was fine but once I tried it on my 12 inch I couldn't handle the concussion any more and sold it.
I just bought a JP 2 chamber brake off the EE and am waiting for it to arrive. Not sure what to expect but I think it's going to end up on one of my longer barrel rifles.
I don't like it when they mess with my sinuses when I shoot. I'd rather deal with the mild recoil of the 223 than put up with the concussion blast. Same reason I sold my S&W 460V. It's fun in the beginning then it just becomes annoying and obnoxious.
 
I didnt have a comp on my G36 (HK243) and had the barrel rethreaded and put my Lantac on, WOW, what a difference.
I love this comp. The looks are awesome and it works great!
And for the other on the range, tough luck ;)
