I'm a new member. Just joined last week after a good friend of mine recommended this site and said it had some great, like-minded" Canadian gun nutz. Sounds like a great place to be. On that note, I had to post about a very exciting thing for me. I Just picked-up my brand new CZ Shadow 2 - black with turquoise grips. From the moment I first held this gun at the store I Knew I had to get it. I actually went into the store to buy a Beretta PX4 Storm, also a great gun - it will be my next purchase - but ended up getting the Shadow. It feels great in my hand and the trigger is unbelievable. I just got my PAL a few months back so this is my first purchase under the new gun laws. I was an FAC holder in the past but stupidly let it lapse so I had to start all over. I'm now looking to join a local range, which is no easy feat. The waiting lists are ofter two years long. I'm gonna start the process. I absolutely cannot wait to shoot this gun. I got some 115 grain and 124 grain to try. I also wanted 147 but they were out of stock. I figured I'll try which I like best and take it from there. Is there a way to add photos to posts? I don't see anything that allows it.
 
Congratulations and welcome to the forum! Be sure to go introduce yourself in the Greetings and Introduction section and read through the "stickied" important posts. Also, in the Newbie FAQ, there is a post about posting pictures. Basically, you'll have to upload them to a hosting service (imgur, google photos, etc) and you can post a link to the photo.

Congratulations on buying the best 9mm auto for C$1300.00 and under. The superior CZ Shadow2 creams any and all autos in that price category. The Shadow2 is a 1911 killer.

Skip the poor & nasty Beretta PX4. Buy the Wilson Combat Beretta instead if you have a Beretta yen, or just as good: the new Glock 17 gen 5. The PX4 is the gun you throw at your assailant when you run out of ammo after missing 10 times.....
 
It is nice to buy a good gun at the start, a lot of us , me included buy cheap stuff, spend a bunch of money to make it shoot, in the long run ,it is expence cheap gun.
But that can be fun , if you do it your self, I am not a lover of Beretta, though they make nice shotguns.
Kill the 1911, LOL, don't think so, but they are great.

P.S. Gun sprite, where are you that you have to wait 2 yrs for a range, That is crazy, must be Ont.
one more P.S. If you really get hooked here, and you will, you can become a member and post pictures direct here, that is what I did, as I did not want to mess around with hosting stuff, My big problem is finding the picture in my computer to post, you guys with those new fangled smart phones may have it better?
