Well, here's a quick peek at my Bren....
It's a 1940 Inglis Mk 1 (or at least some of it is!)
Here's some of the welds...
Here you can see some more....and the gouge in the barrel.
The other side...you can see that the lower is welded onto the frame...
These welds were dressed a bit....still not the prettiest.
The rather less than perfect picture I took of the DP marking on the rear of the receiver....
The top of the bolt (through the mag-well)
It's a ####-and-click....here's the bolt to the rear....
One of the MANY "DP" markings on it. It appears to be DP 21 for most of them....
Welds at the front of the lower, holding it into place....
Welds at the back of the pistol grip....nicely tidied up!
The barrel is nicely welded from the inside....it will never move again.
A better view of the welds...
And here you can see the 45 degree angle on the bolt-face...
And a few of the DP markings: Rear sight:
Barrel:
Barrel change lever:
Buttstock (right above the JI Diamond stamp)
View from the rear....
Here you can see the "DP" stamp on the lower a bit better...
And here we are with the sight dialed out to 2000 yards....LOL
And again, the overall view of the (non) gun.
