My British Columbia 3 gun aresenal is complete!!

I don't get it. I see three similar rifles, all bolt guns, scoped and with similar velocity projectiles.

yes, like 375 for example? Or 45-70? How about 12g shottie? A wheelgun in 454 Casul? One need sidearm in this hostile environment I would think. Something short, repeatable, no sights and with heavy projectile.

Those are 3 fine rifles, but the one feature I really like is the fact that they function identically, ie safety location, etc.
Some 20 -odd yrs. ago I lined up on a nice Whitetail buck and nearly lost him when I fumbled around trying to find the Mod.700 safety on the Winchester I was carrying.......thats when I realized "brain pharts" really existed.
I wouldn't dare tell what model of Winchester I was carrying !!!

I would not feel undergunned hunting Grizzly with the 35 Whelen AI and 225 Barnes TSX's.:D:D:D And yes there are grizzly's behind every stump and tree. Just ask Gatehouse.

i just thought i would point out that you have one post more than your trader rating.... time to sell one of those to even things out :dancingbanana:

Nice rifles. I went a similar route with a stainless Ruger MKII .35 Whelen for moose, stainless Rem mountain rifle .260 in a Ti stock for deer, for long range stuff I have a Winchester gunkoted in a McMillan stock in 7mm Rem Mag.

By the way, I know everbody hates this but.....2900fps in Whelen with 225gr seems a little hot, even for a AI. Thats faster that Barnes lists for the .358 Norma Magnum in a same length barrel. Hope it's all good for you.

35 Whelen velocity

Nosler lists their 225 gr bullets at 2800 fps with 59 gr of RL-15. I am shooting 2890 something (average) with 62.5 gr of RL-15. I don't think this is an extreme load in the AI configuration.

more guns!!

Guys I have way more guns than this. These are just my three hunting rifles. I also have 9 rimfires, a Ruger 77/22 hornet, 3 12 gauges, 1 20 gauge, a crossbow. So don't worry I am a real gun nut!!!!!!!!!!!!:D:D:D:D

With a .35 Whelen Magnum in your stable, you sir are not only a gunnut, but you qualify as a cool gunnut ;) and I'm sure that certain "premier" members would agree :D
