Hey everyone. So i hope this doesnt turn into a flame war. I had a wacky idea the other day as im sure anyone knows semi autos can be pretty picky with the ammo. My gsg 15 loves mini mags, subsonics. Eleys and few other. It doesnt like much of the cheaper bulk winchester remington stuff. Primarily failure to feed or jamming the action. The other day i bought a dozen or so 50 round packs of the federal ammo 40 grain standard velocity for 3.50 each at cabelas. Normally im lucky if i can get about 4 to cycle in a row. However. Today i opened a few packs sprayed them down with a can of silicone lube i had on the shelf. Boxed them back up and drove out to my favourite shooting spot and let go a few hundred rounds. The difference. Night and day. 1 failure to feed out of a few hundred. Now im gonna also say im not responsible for any damages should you try this. Simply stating my observations. I will note however that it did appear to collect alot more gsr inside the action however, i am quite anal about keeping my guns clean. So for a massive savings on cheap .22 ammo im gonna keep trying this. Anyone else ever tried this?
