My Bushnell warranty experience...

10 is a small price to pay i guess.

So basically the timeline can run from 3 - 6 months?

depends on how busy they are- i've had a turn around in as little as m/f when i sent it expidited and explained to them that it was critical to my operation- but then again i "knew" people and they just replaced it rather than examined it- myself, i'd put things off until the season is closed and the snow lays thick-

i have had one scope returned to bushnell for repairs,it was replace with new.i now have a simmonds which is on the fritz, since bushnell now does the repair on these scopes it will be going back soon.since we are gun nutz i am sure all of us have at least 1 or more scope which are not being used or are on another firearm and could be switched with one on the fritz(in a pinch to get thru a season).or just take another of our firearms out for a change.myself along with some friends have always had good luck with warranty serice from bushnell.

I dont understand why Bushnel cant give a time frame on repair turnaround. The 2 emails I sent offered apologies for taking so long but both times dodged the question. Never heard of a company that dont have a policy on they're time of service. Take your car in for repair and they better have an answer to "how long"? They said put a rush on it. Im assuming everyone does that so whats the diff?

go to the busnell site and use the richmond hill address- it'll cost 10 bucks plus shipping for their "inspection" fee even if the scope has the lifetime warranty
25 a east pierce street , richmond hill, ontario-l4b2m9

The 10 dollars is for return shipping not inspection fee.

What to Include and Shipping Information:
- A short note explaining the reason you are sending the unit in to us.
- Your email address and daytime telephone number.
- Send to Bushnell by a insured trackable courier such as Canada Post, UPS.
- The return shipping and handling fee for all products is $10.00 except for Yardage Pro and HOLOsight which have a $15.00 shipping and handling fee.
On Electronic products such as Laser Rangefinders, Night Vision and Camera's Proof of Purchase must be included.

I have sent a scope away, and it was a good experience. Their online tracking is a good feature to let you know when it was recieved and what is being done as well.

All I paid for was the shipping by canada post and the insurance in case C/P
lost it, no further money was sent or asked for,the return postage was paid by Bushnell via canada parcel post right to my door. Jack

they've changed the wording since i last had to use the service- the 10 bucks was an inspection fee, and bushnell picked up the return postage- either way, you got a new scope for 10 bucks plus if the modern equivilent- the last time they replaced a banner 2.5x20 with a 1.5-4.5x32 variable- basically a 20 buck scope with a 89.95 retail job

I dont really care if I had to pay shipping both ways, a 10 dollar inspection fee and a 20 dollar contribution to the x-mas slush kitty as long as I got my scope back fixed or replace fast.

I bought a new 3200 with adjustable obejective in Jan/11 and after approximately 20 rd it would no longer hold zero. I mailed it in and tracking indicated it was delivered. I was expecting the Bushnell repair number to arrive and finally received it several weeks later, The scope was actually entered as received in the facility 16 days after CP delivered it. I phoned twice and was told initially they had a considerable backlog and to call back.
Turnaround time was about 3 months but I was charged no additional fee.
I have a 4200 (with no Adj. objective) since they were first issued with no problems.
I've see a few A/O going back now for warranty and am wondering if this is the issue. Also wondering if the additional brands they are now doing warranty work for is causing the mail in backlog.
