I built this gun with:
CDX-15 lower
STI-upper
custom Stainless ACR(yes ACR not AR-15) barrel in 6.8 with 1-11 twist 18.7"
Adjustable gas block/mid-gas system
leapers free float quad rail.
DPMS lower parts kit
JP low mass competition full length buffer
CAA pistol grip
magpul front grip
rail mount bi-pod
3-9 tactical railed scope
penny laiser
back up flip sights
sweet Thundercats extended mag release.

Hmm, high end lower, low end upper, but if they fit tight, that's all that matter.

The only thing that's really bothering me is; Custom Barrel, sweet gas and buffer system, but a DPMS Trigger ?

You should look into a nice Geiselle to round things off.

Sweet build. I'm horny for a JP Gas/Buffer system myself I get some more cash to dump into my AR kit.
 
thanks for the comment. this build was actully a budget build to start with. i built it around the barrel. the only way i got the lower is because of a dispute that ended up working out. i might pick up some higher end parts as i go ,i am looking for a light weight bolt carrier right now. but the gun shoots so well and just works so i might not mess with it.
i should put that i have cammo wrap on the gun its not paint or nothing. the gun is actully black/SS

Yeah ixnay on the BCG fornow. I would look into a trigger for your next investment.
 
I got the barrel and bolt from questar.
the gun shoots fantastic. i never had a gun shoot so smooth. its less recoil then the 5.56 and abit more quiet. and accuracy is really good i have only sited it in but even to 200 yards there is pretty much no windage on the 6.8 110g otbt. you could button someones shirt with it. i probubly wont be out to club for along time so i cant really post pics of any results any time soon.

the ACR barrel is the same as an AR barrel.barrel extention and all that. you can put an ACR on the AR but not the other way around. when i bought the barrel i had a guy going off on it. and i was like dude yes you can use it go look at some pictures or something. like why would they sell the ACR barrel with an AR bolt? i think the ACR guys just think there $3000 gun is all origenal and not over priced. to me its just an AR with a plastic body kit.

like i said i will be looking at upgrades as i go along. probubly when i get a new trigger and stuff i will just demote the parts i have now onto one of my norcs. another part i want is a new grip i have had about 5 different grips and i dont like any of them worthy of a custom gun.

one other thing i should say is the gun uses a 6.8 magazine. they are a little different then the 5.56. the follower will say 6.8 right on it.
