my CHEAP 12ga SLUG METHOD

Great! I already ordered all the stuff needed to make the slugs but the only thing missing is something to redo the crimp. I don't want to spend 60-80$ on a shotgun shell press. Can someone ca. Point me a cheap solution to crimp my shells?

I bought a used LEE Load All from the EE for cheap ($25 plus shipping). Look around, you may be surprised.

slug mold ~$25
2k rem gun club 1 1/8 oz shells ~$560 tax in (63 + tax /250 shells)

+ lots and lots of time, by my estimation.

+ 250 oz lead left over for 250 more slugs!

An old prospector told me that they used to pour wax into birdshot shells to make slugs.

Never tried it.

Does the amount of lead in the Walmart #7 shell equal the exact same amount of lead needed to produce the slug?

Sounds like that would produce a knock off Glaser safety slug.
