My Civil War Gun Collection.

Again, sorry to jump on your thread. Little Round Top, I've been there a few times & I still can't imagine soldiers trying to run UP that hill. It's so covered with huge boulders it seems almost impossible that anyone could make it up. Amazing collection by the way, very impressive. BB
 
No machman I have never run across a Lemat revolver or rifle.

I was up on Little Round Top early in the morning before the Civil War show---no one else was around---very peaceful---and at the same time--- very eery!

Before leaving Gettysburg after the Civil War Show I dropped in at The Horse Soldier where I bought the VHS version of the film 'Gettysburg'.



As I had never purchased a gun at a U.S. gun show--- coming back into Canada was a painful experience.
Canada Customs demanded that this 1863 manufactured Model 1860 Colt Army revolver be kept in a locked container in my trunk.
It took me over an hour to find a lock at a Duty Free shop which would fit on my suitcase.
Unfortunately the Customs Officers that I got were summer students and new nothing about antique guns.

Fortunately an experienced officer came along and I paid the duty owing and left.

Some other stuff relating to my trip to Gettysburg.

Very Very Impressive ,thank you for posting, looked at a few Springfield and enfields for sale in Louisiana while I was there. Visited a few battlegrounds in Tennessee as well terrible times thank you again for sharing.

My Great-Great-Grandfather fought against the Fenians at the Battle of Eccles Hill on May 25 1870.
