My clumsiness and the T97FTU.

I found a little can of matte black paint at Canadian tire, for windshield wipers. It's pretty decent and holds up well enough, and helps to hide little scuffs and imperfections. Just get a little mini artists paint brush and dab a little bit on at a time.

It's a gun....it gets used.....these things will happen. I used to be all careful and ocd about scratches and dings....they are tools that get used, it happens. Dinged a brand new P226 about 30 seconds after unboxing....was a little bummed but it's got a lot of holster wear and other marks from dry firing and practicing transitions.
 
Is the T97FTU made of aluminum or steel? You can use Birchwood Casey Aluma-Black if it's an AL receiver or just any old cold blue if it's steel. Make sure to degrease the scuff areas before applying. Good luck.

Shooting isn't just about sitting on your ass and pulling the trigger...
 
If your car gets a couple chips in the paint, do you just shrug and say it's a tool that accumulates wear through use, and not worry about it?
Especially if someone parking beside you hits the side of your car with their door (a scuff that didn't occur through use, but by accident)
I dunno about some of you but some individuals like to take care of my investments and keep them looking nice.
Not everyone likes the "well used" look
