I have an AR lower coming in the mail, it cleared the CFO on the sellers end but I have heard nothing from the CFO on my end. It’ll be at the post office Monday or Tuesday. I don’t want to leave it there until they ship it back to the seller, but I’m sure a call to the CFO won’t go well. If I pick it up without the CFO consent I’ll be a bigger criminal than JT has already made me. Advice?

if its registered to you and you paid it then its your firearm. you can pick up restricteds with your transfer notice and pal. however its prohibited now . if I remember correctly in the OIC it says hat banned guns can still be returned home. reread this OIC

If the transfer went through it’s your firearm.
You can send it back to the seller but it’s still your firearm and you will be responsible for it if they come looking for it.
There is no way it can now be transferred back to the seller now.

So, other than announcing it to the world in a message board post. Who would have known that you rec'd a message from the post office to pick up a package.
The fact the store shipped it to you meant at the time of sending it was legal to do so.
Legally sent, legally received.
Pick it up, take it home, and fondle your new baby while wistfully thinking of what could have been.

Sorry,

L

what?
You would almost certainly have to sign for that parcel. It cant "get lost" easily at all

Exactly. The CFO allowed the shipper to send it but has not yet provided a reference number to me. I will also be required to sign for it. We are now in a toxic anti-firearms climate. The process has never been easy, but now it’s a complete mystery.

why do they need to give you a refenrece number? That was for the transfer. which CFO obvioulsy approved if they are allowing the shippeer to send it.

We are now in a toxic anti-firearms climate, youve been on here 10yrs this is your conclusion now?

The process has never been easy, but now it’s a complete mystery. Well, it hasnt changed much in the last decade I'll tell you that and CFC is more than willing to hold your hand if your willing to call them.

Why on earth would you as the buyer get a confirmation, they only send that to the seller.
If the seller got the go ahead to give you the firearm , then it was approved and is yours

The cfo has completed the transfer. That’s all I needed. With the current climate I was concerned that they wouldn’t issue one. CFO’s have adapted the law to their own interpretation in the past. Now I’ll build it up.
