My Cooey 60, now with scope

I still would love to figure how to get that scope to be more centered over the barrel.....

Let us know when you figure it out.
Could it be the mounts are drilled a bit different or
maybe we got the Friday 13th long weekend ones.
Two rim fire rifles here and both the same.

easy, make the hole for the screw a little bigger, you will be able to push it a little higher. be careful not to drill it too big or the screw will become useless. i suggest to begin a little bigger and enlarge it unless you're satisfied of the result.

I have 8 side drilled cooeys and they are all off center with that mount. They must have done a double shift that friday :) I wonder if I could tig some weaver bases to the mounting plate? Hmmmm

why not make a shim to fit the side base or heat and bend the ring mount? What does it really matter anyway? Mine works great and shoots perfectly fine out to 300yds even with the slightly off center scope.

here it is, weaver n3 for 3/4 scope

Weaver must have offered options with their mounts. I have 3 of the old N2 mounts and they are all for a 3/4" scope. I have a N3 mount and it is for a 7/8" tube scope.

I checked my mounts. I have a Weaver N2 mount on a Cooey/Winchester 600. It has a vintage Weaver B6 3/4" scope on it. The scope sits centre of the barrel where it should be. I have a Weaver N3 mount not on a gun. I measured it and it will take a 3/4" scope. However, it positions the scope a bit higher than the N2 mount for guns that need more bolt clearance. The scope is still centre on the barrel.
But, I also have a vintage Weaver N3 mount still in the package (not opened) with the paper and it says for 7/8" scope.
