how can you tell if the ejection clip is broken on the bolt. i was having problems with it not pulling the empty case out

i had that problem with mine and i took the bolt apart and blasted it with about 1/2 a can of G-96 gunk buster then hit it with a tooth brush.
problem solved!

it seems that they build up a tonne of residue right under the extractor claw and they need a good cleaning every 20-30 years to get that out.
im thinking that since the extractor is tensioned off the weld on the bolt and it is kinda on the long side that its prone to getting all gunked up.

anyways, thats a cheap easy fix, give it a try!

also do the same with the inside of the gun where the bullet sits.
there is a side part that the ejection claw goes into.
that fills up with crap too!

the extractor claw is mounted on the side of the bolt.
so when you drive the bolt forward into the locking position the claw goes into that recess beside the round that is in the barrel.
the claw is tensioned so it pops past the lip on the brass then when you cycle the bolt back the claw brings the round out with it.
or that is the theory anyways.

so if the side port is full of crud or if the claw itself is full of crud (especially between the claw and the pin face where it only has a fraction of a mm to catch the lip of the brass) then it wont pull the spent round out.

In your video I see you have a scope mounted. I just got a military 82 with everything on it from a guy a few weeks ago. I don't see so well and am looking at putting a scope on. However I am NOT going to drill it. Am looking at using the peep sight bracket hole and rear sight hole to mount a rail. Is that one of yours been drilled/tapped for side mount?
