heres a pic of my current shoestring budget 10/22mod. under $500 and it shoots 1" groups out to 100m

i've basically replaced the synthetic stock with a boyds barracuda,the barrel with a butler creek and installed a volquart hammer and sear. I modded the bolt release to become an auto release. I topped the rifle with a 4-12 Barska sweet 17 scope (couldnt go wrong for $75 and its accurate as heck with my own range marks on the elevation turret). So far i've come in under $500 including the cost of the rifle (used for $80). it shoots awesome and I was able to win our local sillouette/target shoot this past weekend.
