well I was out playing at some distance yesterday, shot my new mtr farther than I have ever shot a 22lr. I have a video showing 10 hits for 10 shots at 325 and even managed to sqeak out 3 hits at 400.

I uploaded on YouTube check it out. If someone could post the video in the thread I would be ever grateful. Let me know and I will send a copy.
Cheers
Jesse.

I am running a diamondback tactical 6-24×50. It sits on a 30moa area 419 rail. With my 50 yard zero I am 4 or 5 mil from bottom of my elevation. I am able to dial 15 and a bit mil. Strelok says 13.77 mil, which was very close, so i was able to dial for distance and i had to hold 3 mil right for wind. As for groups at 50 i am very close to the half inch challenge. Just haven't put five in a row under half inch, close but not close enough.

I'm curious what SD measurement with his gun and ammo of choice, achieve the ability to hit that size target at that distance, 10/10 times. In some ways I'm looking for excuses why I can't do it.

I understand.

SD will vary by lot number. It can even vary by individual rifles of the same model. With ammo that can have a relatively wide ES as mid-range .22LR match ammo usually does, a minumum of 30 rounds should be chronographed to get a statistically meaningful SD in a particular rifle. Smaller sample sizes yield figures for which the confidence level in their usefulness is too low.

Whenever .22LR is concerned, wind is a key factor affecting accuracy, especially at long ranges. A little luck helps, and often the lack of it can be frustrating.
