I'm sure the question has been asked before but I could not find anything on the subject in the FAQ section.

My original and after market mags for my CZ-75B do not drop free. Can I do something about it so that they do?

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks guys.

Have you tried Armor-All??

I had the same problem with my glock mags and using armor-all on the mags and inside the magazine well every couple of months seemed to do the trick.

There's a flat spring like piece of metal at the back of the mag well (mag break) that's designed to stop the mag from dropping. If you take the grips off you can get at it, with the slide off.

There is a heavier mag break available from ghostproducts which is a bit thicker like the ones on the SP01 Shadow that do not deform as easily when hit it with the mag or the grips being overtightened is another possible cause.

Once I get at it, what do I do? Can I do it with regular tools? Is there a chance that I might mess up something?

I don't want to tinker around, I want to be sure I can get it right,

Thanks

The 75B's mag was designed NOT to drop free. But you can straighten the mag break spring to make it drop free without any need to buy anything. Details visit www.czforum.com.

So is there something wrong with my CZ-75b? My mags shoot right out when I press the release.

It's like they are spring loaded, and if I point the but of the gun horizontal with the ground, at waste height, the mags will shoot out and land easily 3 feet from the gun.

I suppose maybe I am lucky, but I already chipped a mag base due to the overactive "eject" button...
