my daughter just came into my den and said she found what she wants for her 13th birthday.

My youngest daughter just got her PAL/RPAL. So did her boyfriend.

He wants a 1911 so I told her that I'd buy her a GSG 1911 so she could work her way up to shooting his 1911.

i started her on my old S&W 422 last summer and she loved it.
i was kinda expecting her to ask for a 22 rifle for her birthday but the asking for a pistol totally caught me off guard.
when i asked her more about it she told me she enjoys the pistol a lot more then the rifle.

i still think ill get her a new 22 rifle for her birthday and ill let her use any of my 22 pistols until she can get her RPAL.

my dad did call me and offer me (to hold for her) his old S&W 622, i thought that was pretty cool too.

My 6 year old sat next to me on the couch last night and said, "Dad when is the next time were going shooting............... and can Kalvin come too" Don't know weather to cry or scream.

My 7yr old daughter has shown some interest in shooting with me. What age did you take your daughters or sons out for the first time? I showed her a pink pistol and she tells me I should have one cause pink is the best lol

A pink gun may do it, but my guess is most girls just want to spend quality time with their dads. Sometimes that means dressing up as a princess for a tea party with stuffed annimals, sometimes that means going to the range. How could a daughter resist something that makes her daddy so happy, and she loves stopping off for a treat on the way home. A love of shooting may be born out of this, but the attraction is probably human, not the activity. A life long love may be born out of memories.
