Makes me laugh regarding an SKS post the other day; Some Dork was yapping about "the punishing recoil of the SKS".

My ten year old nephew will shoot all day long, or until I stop handing him bullets. This is a great beginner rifle to learn how to shoot open sights. We go to our favorite abandoned gravel pit and chase pop cans across the pit all day long.

So as not to hijack, OP, good on ya. Nice to see a new generation getting involved in a great culture and having fun. Who better to tech them than dear ol dad!

^x2 Great to see new people getting into shooting sports, the more the merrier! Can't wait to take my own son out for his first range trip.
