My Daughter had a project for school, and wanted to build an MG08.. here is the result.

Bus.. she takes the public bus.. so no.. it was too big to bring on the bus anyway

it's made mostly of abs pipe, scrap aluminium (I had from an old industrial computer scanner) and painted foam..

the belt is from a bunch of 30-06 ( I know wrong caliber..) I had around that I just loaded the bullet into to appear real..

I wanted to put some working parts in to move the belt through automatically but the teacher didnt give them to long to work on it..

I know that would never have been allowed in our school here in town, so I must say here how much I appreciate the ability of some schools to allow the students to learn in an unrestricted environment. A+ from me too. A++++ for the teacher and school attitude.
