My Daughters Present: Shake and Bake Squirrel

How old is she? been trying to get mt 8 year old out but she doesn't seem that interested. I'm hoping she will come out for turkey with me this year. Way to go dad!

haha, love it.
Great video, and your daughter is a better shot than me!!!

Lil sista: "don't be affraid to get your hand dirty"... Simply lovely!

Two thumbs up Brobee, you are a great dad, you are raising your girls like a champ.

Cute and cool!

Strangely my daughter would be into this but not my son. He "might" eat a shake & bake squirrel but he won't shoot one.

She's 10 years old, will be 11 in June. Started her on the savage rascal .22lr when she was 7, but that was a bit dicey. She shot her first squirrel when she was 8, but strongly disliked all the flipping/twitching that went with a .22lr head shot and I was worried. I moved her into a break open .410 for a bit, she liked it's "killing power" quite a bit more, and now that she's into a 20 gauge we're all good.

Re all the "dad of the year" suggestions...kinda flattering, but know that I'm having at least as much fun as she does! She made me laught the other day...her math assignment was to create a graph that showed different amounts of something over a week long period. She chose to chart "the number of times dad asks me if I want to go squirrel hunting" as her subject.

It's so great that you've taught your daughter gun safety and some self-sufficiency, and it looks like you two have a blast while you're out there! Great recipe too, easy enough to pull off at the cabin, let alone at home.

Very impressive work on both videos. She has a great start in life. Her confidence in particular shows she is a natural leader. You have much to be proud of.
