Today I got my Shotgun back from Jo at Dlask... I had him fit (drill, tap, pin) my Mossberg Ghost Ring Kit to the 870 and his 12.5" barrel.

I also installed a Knoxx SpecOps stock which I bought from a fellow CGN member.

The pics do not do it justice, it looks and feels bad-ass.
I can hardly wait to go shooting this weekend.

Anyway, here's a couple pics. The last thing I want to do is repaint it... but that will happen at a later time ;)

Enjoy!!

P.S. Yes, that is an extended Modified RemChoke sticking out at the end.

Thanks all for the kind words...

The forend I actually kept stock because I like gripping it farther back - but agree that a smaller forend would look better; this still might change :)

The thing I like about the Mossberg GRS are the ears. The Wilson combat (trijicons) don't have ears to protect the aperture - I was torn on which to get, but the cost of the Mossberg kit got me ($95) ;).

So the paint job in the future will be OD and Black - but no rush, I've spent enough money and time for now. Maybe in a couple months.

Looks good, X3 on the forend.
As a bonus you can probably use the rear sight holes to mount a (Mossberg)weaver rail if you want optics.
I had a 590A1 and the rail was around $15.00....there might have been a hole or two infront of the sight as well but it should work OK with just two holes....

How much would it cost to tap a barrel for choke tubes ?

It feels like so long ago ;)... I think it was $90 to tap a barrel for chokes.

P.S. If I can find a Hogue forend I will get one :p

Definitely going to buy a box of the most powerful 3" slugs I can... otherwise I want to zero it (50/50) at 50m. for trap :)

Hurry up Friday!!! Almost over... ugh!!

I painted it yesterday... check it out!
I also ordered a KNOXX (Hogue) forend from TSE yesterday to complement it... but I couldn't wait to show her off.

Did a few little things as well... chopped the factory forend for the meantime and also shortened the extended choke tube - added a cheap sling which actually feels good (forget the make).

Enjoy!

You are going to love that Knoxx!!
How well does it slide to its limits??
Mine is still a bit stiff.......

I do love the Knoxx... can hardly wait for the fore end.

The slide is silky smooth - I filed the rough edges before painting and remove all the high-sticking points. I can basically hold it upright and give it a good shake to open or close the bolt ;)

That really is a nice bath tub

Hahah... thanks... it rarely gets used. No time for baths (I shower) ;)
