My Dominion Arms Grizzly is in. Initial pics! Function test up! X2

Picked the right day to go to selkirk! Awesome little toy, have to put my name on one soon. The other guys didn't know it was you, or they would have come over to try it too, but they thought it was funny you got stuck.

Damn you Nine!!

I'm really upset here.....

First it was the Ruger MKIII 22/45 P45GCMKIII  You buy one, do an excellent review and lo and behold ......I have to get one.

Now this.....

Once again an excellent review and lo and behold I just ordered one.....

Man......

Your awesome :D

Thanks again.

Any chance in the future your getting an Arc'teryx's Tango pack? I may need one of those too

"Thank ya, thank ya very much."

I'm going to be ordering a Hogue overmolded 12" LOP stock set in OD green. I will also be taking it out a few more times; the next time I will pattern it at 5, 10, 15, 20 and 25M with shot. (Beer cans stand in very well for grouse! :D ) I'll also have to shoot more slugs to see if my 6 O'clock hold hypothesis is "accurate." (HA!)

Lol, I didn't realize that was Selkirk 'til you mentioned it. That's where I'll be taking mine when I get it. I usually just park on the road unless I have one of my parents' suv's.

Fabarm: $829

Grizzly: $289

Two very different shotguns. Both provide very good value. I would personally feel less stressed out if Kevin.303 was fondling my gizzly than my Fabarm. The fabarm is complete out of the box, but some users are WTF do I need a rail on the forend for? The grizzly from what I'm experiencing is VERY good out of the box, with a lot of room for modification if desired. I will be replacing the stock and getting a sling plate from Bad boy. I am also considering painting and a set of tritium ghostrings. :D

As for ousting the Fabarm... time will tell. I'll have to do some tweaking & testing.

Maybe a better comparison:

Fabarm Martial Comp. - $599

Dominion Grizzly - $289

I haven't held a Grizzly but I have played around with the Norinco... I still bought the Fabarm. I also didn't like the Remington 870's, on which the grizzly is based, so its not just the Dominion/Norc.

But again, as always, the world would be a boring place without variety...

A magnum shotgun for $289.00 is a hell of a deal. I am impressed with the finish on these Chinese 870 clones, certainly the best I have seen. Do you think the fit, of parts, is better than an Express?

Well Nine, you have officially addicted me to shotguns. I am excited to see how she looks when all is said and done.

Also, danke for the info on the six oclock hold. I didn't even know I was doing it the last time I was out with the target rifle! :D

Franken-rem. Grizzly barrel, bolt assembly, trigger group and mag spring riding in a REM 870 receiver. REM mag cap.

Vice versa; the grizzly's receiver was TOO TIGHT to accept the 870 MM barrel. Due to the nickel plating, I was not about to "force the issue." The griz barrel slides right into the 870 receiver. I also noted that the mag cap was also too tight, again, due to the nickel finish, I didn't force it on. The barrel, trigger group and bolt assembly fit not problem and everything cycled and dry fired fine. If I had an "normal" 870, I may have been more "assertive" in my fitting, but it seems the griz receiver is machined pretty tight. Even the barrel, which fits nicely into the 870MM receiver, is a tight fit into the griz receiver. Interesting.
