My Dominion Arms Grizzly is in. Initial pics! Function test up! X2

FYI guys, I tried swapping my grizzly barrel onto a Rem 870 and it worked fine, slipped right on...The "problem" came in when I tried putting the Rem 870 barrel onto my grizzly, it was too tight and I didn't want to "force it", so...Obviously the tolerances are a little different, but maybe it's just a matter of fit and function from the factory?* By this I mean, maybe at the factory there are barrels and receivers that do the same thing and they just put ones together that "fit"...* Anyone else agree?CheersJay

Okay, I had a chance to try out my grizzly. The gun points VERY easily, it's not hard at all to hit cans at 5 to 10 meters with every round... And NO function issues whatsoever.

Now, when you use buckshot, WOW, that sucker is LOUD and spits bright orange flames, VERY IMPRESSIVE!!!

The shotgun is a little hard on the hands with heavy loads, but too much fun to put down!!!

Cheers
Jay
P.S. No pics as we were in hip deep snow, fun fun fun...

Is the Grizzly available with a 20" smoothbore barrel and rifle sights?
NO. The short Grizzly is all that has been imported so far, there are lots of long barreled Remingtons , if you want long buy Remington , if you want short buy Dominion Arms Grizzly. Or you could get a Grizzly and put a longer Remington barrel on it. GOTO www.canadaammo.com

what kind of condition is everyones finish? my barrel is lookin a bit rough and the finish off the bolt and tube is pretty faded.

My Grizzly is as good as my $600 Stoeger.

CanAm did offer 90 or 60 days warranty on all Grizzly. Call him, he is a nice guy.

The finish is "thin". Same as my norc I previously had, and no worse than many 870's I've recently seen.

Good machining, and smooth cycling, you're almost there. It's easy to refinish a shotgun, it's hard to make it run well. For $289 this one is VERY good.

Mine also has a very thin finish. But to me, function is far more important. Besides, once I wear this finish down a bit more, I get to Armacoat it. Just need to decide on a colour...

I received my sling plate today. As with my fabarm sling plate made by S & J, I must say this is VERY well made. Even the wifey commented on it's quality. :D Well machined, not a sharp edge on it. This is very important for longevity of your slings. Now I await my stock set, which is probably sitting in some air port hangar waiting for customs to oogle it. Here are some pics, I'll post some pics of the stock change over when I get it in hand. :D

<PS I see badboy has offered a sling plate deal... jump on it! This is a seriously handy piece of kit!>
