My dream revolver, SS Python

That sure is some nice chapstick you have there. A fine brand indeed.

Oh, and a pretty nice gun too :D

You know when I first saw your pics I was tempted also to make a smart alec comment on the chapstick like Gabe did, but I thought no, I will stick to the moral high ground and not cherry pick the easy ones. The gun looks awesome, glad you like it, its nice to see someone besides myself get worked up over a wheelgun.

That is an absolute beauty! Congratulations!

I recently acquired a four inch Python in Ultimate Stainless...aren't they something to behold? :)

Jeff/1911.

I'm trying to figure out the year, it's serial # T###X. I read that SS wasn't made until about 1985. A real good deal in my book was selling my storm to pay for it, so $900 big ones.

That's about the going rate for them. But you can't put a price on a gun that you've wanted forever, not to mention that is hard to find. Congrats on the gun, I've always wanted one, but ended up with a 686. Maybe in the future I will find one for myself.

Bastage..I looked for 2 years for a stainless snake.
Couldn't find one so I settled for a royal blue one.
After buying a stainless .22 revolver and spending about 2 hours cleaning it I'm glad I bought the blued Python. It hides the dirt better! :D

Congrats, theres nothin like the feel of a big gun, speaking of which I saw the first single shot pistol in a retail store today chambered in 50 BMG anyone own one??
or should I ask is anyone crazy enough to try it?

What, where? Brand, price?

It was in Port Huron, Price I dont know but it looked pretty scary to me, I dont have the wrists or the hands to take the recoil off one of those and walk away, chances are Id be recovering for a few days.

how did you rub off those powder residue on the face of the cylinder and in the chambers?

Well, after 2 years of searching and not having enough money, I finally found a good deal on a stainless python. I just spent a wonderful 4 hours cleaning it. All steel parts had a light coating of rust! The grip screw, front site and the main spring. It wiped off with gun solvent, so I'm hoping it works fine. I thought some other python lovers would enjoy seeing it. Off to the range on thursday. It has a very light DA trigger.

Is this a bright stainless or matt stainless ( couldn't tell for sure in your pics)- picked up one myself 3 days ago - awaiting transfer - my python is bright stainless 6 inch -- looks great ,congrats
